PASANDO YO MAÑANA... (fragmento)

Nieve había, granizaba,
hablóme la Chata luego
y hablando me amenazaba:
-"¡Paga o ya verás el juego!"
Dije yo:-"¡Por Dios, hermosa,
deciros quiero una cosa,
pero sea Junto al fuego!"

"Yo te llevaré a mi casa
y te mostraré el camino,

encenderé fuego y brasa
y te daré pan y vino.
Pero ¡a fe!, promete algo
y te tendré por hidalgo.
¡Buena mañana te vino!"
