                    Social

                    Economic
                    Cultural

                    Educational

               SOCIAL IMPACT

 Many of today’s jobs require ICT skills and qualifications.
 People without an education in ICT are at a disadvantage and are unable to get work,
there is an increase in poverty due to an increase in unemployment.
 There is an increase in crime rate since people have lower ICT skills or knowledge in a
particular job due to lower educational level in ICT.

               ECONOMIC IMPACT

A widening digital divide between countries may lead to a widening economic divide between industrial
developed countries and the poorer ones. The rich countries get richer, the poor countries cannot
               compete.

Business companies can increase their profit by setting up transactional websites to sell and transfer or
exchange goods and services to anyone around the world (Amazon, FedEx, etc.)

Greater use of ICT technology may means lower cost prices since they don’t need to pay experts for
doing a knowledge based project or work.

With everybody access to internet may means low pressures on business companies, for instance, the
use of transactional websites for purchasing goods and services without having to buy via high street
shops. It speed up transaction, greater control over stock.

People with access to the internet may be able to take opportunities in buying goods at any time of the
day and they can participate in online auction and are able to use the web to search for best and lower
               prices.
