Thorn In The Heart

France called United State for help financing in May 1950,
while North Korea reinforced with China force and attacked
South Korea with the strong support of Soviet. It made United
National troops transferred into South Korea for defense, and do
not pay attention at Indochina area. They believed French
militarist could block Communist forward on the Far East by the
USA aid.

Thus the American governments were fighting in the
countries that bordered on Red China as Vietnam and Korea by
indirect of the warfare financing.

French Militarist used the American’s aid warfare to open
the operations into the Vietnam countryside to push Vietminh
out of the villages and face them on the ground battles. General
Navarre hoped to win Vietminh as soon as possible by the
pusher and pull tactical, while the Korea war is going to the end
with a cease-fire agreement of the United Nations. It guaranteed
by the USA forces in South Korea for the peacekeeper and will
recover Korea’s economy.

General Navarre had changed the operation tactics at 1953
after he took office with lack the experience of Indochina war
and its people. He did not understand the history of the foreigner
domination in Vietnam, that made Vietnamese always hating the
foreigner, even in their smiles, and sights. Also, General Navarre
did not know who he should be protected in the countryside to
fight the Vietminh, while Vietminh guerrilla hit the French
troop and run or mixed into the civilians to hide.

General Navarre worst fault that he was proud of his
abilities, and do not care about Vietnamese people. He carried
the idealism of French militarist power, bombed the villages to
make the disaster in the countryside to tight Vietminh troops.
