ABSTRACT The very challenging new century education requires the implementation of ICT in
teaching and learning to keep up with the changing times in this modern era. ICT has had a profound
effect on shifting the education system and management in developing countries. The emergence of
Web 2.0 applications such as blogs, podcasts, wikis, Facebook and YouTube has led to massive
changes to e-Learning. The present study explores the influence of usability attributes (attitude,
effectiveness, flexibility and learnability) of an e-Learning FYP repository blog. The e-Learning FYP
repository blog should provide good usability, so that interactions of learners can be as natural and
spontaneous as possible. The survey has been conducted among final year students Diploma in Civil
Engineering of Politeknik Ungku Omar. The students exposed to use FYP Repository blog for 14 weeks
in Civil Engineering Project 2 course. The usability attributes was tested empirically through a survey
on 197 students. Quantitative data were statistically examined using descriptive analysis (mean,
standard deviation), internal consistency using Cronbach alpha value and Independent Samples T-
test. The results of statistical analysis indicate that majority students have positive response towards
usability of FYP Repository blog to support learning environment. The results presented here may
facilitate improvements in the different educational contexts to achieve various pedagogical
objectives.
