ABSTRACT e-Learning has a significant role in instruction of students especially in higher education,
so the objective of this study is investigating the strength of the relationship between e-learning and
students' motivation and performance. This research was conducted in Politeknik Nilai. Overall, the
outcomes of this study have confirmed that e-learning is an element which affects students‟
motivation and performance. Methodology approach for this study, a questionnaire was applied to
collect data from students of Politeknik Nilai and was used for data analysis. Research limitations or
implications is executed in an only certain related courses, thus attention must be paid in
generalization of the outcomes. Findings were presented and discussed for future studies and
applications. The outcomes of this research will be helpful in developing higher education institutions
and educational thinkers to better comprehend effects of e-learning on students' motivation and
performance.
