Page 7 - CHASING A DREAM

Tala then decided to start taking photographs of the things
she found beautiful around her home as she lived in a
remote forest area that was not too far away from the city.
She was wandering around, taking a walk to try to distract
herself from her feelings, when she saw a girl with her
knees pulled up to her chest as she was silently crying. She
slowly approached the young girl, about nine years of age,
and she asked her if she was lost. The young girl slowly
looked up to her, and as Tala stared at her eyes, she saw a
flash of events where a monstrous-looking beast was
chasing the said girl; she snapped out of her trance and
blinked at the girl. “You saw my dreams, didn’t you?” the
young girl asked softly. “I- uh-“ Tala did not know how to
respond as no one had ever asked or known about her
ability before. “Don’t worry. Many people can do that from
where I came from.” She sniffed, wiped her tears, and
seemed more relaxed than earlier.
On the other hand, Tala seemed somewhat confused
because a random child near her cottage implied she was
from another planet. To say that she was bewildered was
an understatement. “Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean by
from where you come from?” she asked, looking extremely
confused and quite terrified. However, she could not bring
herself to admit that this was the most exciting thing that
ever happened to her in the three months of quarantine.
She was somehow excited. The young girl asked her to sit
beside her, and there, they started a conversation.
