9-112 Do not shovel material onto a moving conveyor or bucket
elevator unless a suitable guard/screen/barrier/emergency pull
cord is in place. The guard will prevent a tool from coming in
                                       contact with the pinch point.

9-113 Get your supervisor's or appropriate manager's permission
before entering a tank, bin, silo, drum, bag-houses, kilns,
crusher, pipe, hopper, pontoon, manhole, or other confined
                                       spaces.

9-114 Along with your supervisor, determine if the confined space is a
“permit-required” confined space. If so, enter "permit required"
areas only after proper training and after completing the required
entry form and getting approval for entry from your supervisor.

                                HOISTING AND RIGGING EQUIPMENT (9-200)

9-200 Have a competent person visually inspect rigging and hoisting
equipment (e.g., wire rope, synthetic web slings, chains and
hardware) prior to each use, and periodically during use.

9-201 Lifting chains must be Grade 8 or higher.

9-202 Rigging equipment must be inspected and documented annually
                                       by a designated person.

Properly Stored Hoisting and Rigging Equipment

9-203 Take out of service and destroy any rigging or hoisting
equipment that does not meet compliance.
