This is an indication of an unbalanced condition of one or both of the
nose wheel tires, or failure of the steering system. Accomplish the
following based upon when the condition is recognized: ENG/PROP

Takeoff roll, prior to refusal speed:
FUEL
The decision to abort or continue will be based upon the
severity of the shimmy.
AAR

SPEC Landing with a known condition: ELEC

Keep the nose wheel off the ground as long as possible, but
touch the nose down while the elevator effectiveness still HYD
allows for a gentle lowering of the nose.

Decelerate gradually. GEAR

Apply up elevator to keep as little load on the nose wheel as
