Her jaws dropped and tears glimmered in her eyes.
“Are you there, Tshoden?” he said.
She sniffed. “Why all this, Ugyen?”
“How is your life in Sherubtse?”
She sighed. “Forgive me, please, will you?”
“It’s not your fault. I am glad you chose my brother.”
“Ugyen, I am sorry.”
“No hard feelings, but you should have told me
everything.” His voice lowered in regret. “I suffered a lot
to accumulate my happiness, but you took only a second
to destroy it.”
She sobbed bitterly. “Please forgive me.”
“My friendship with you lasted for a few years. You were
mine, at least in name, but it’s a strange twist of fate that
I am destined to go my way.” He choked. “We’re
separated by fate. Your life ahead is promising. Wish you
success in every step.”
“Where’re you?”
“Bye.”
