Progress Reports must be sent the 4 week during each of the (9) nine weeks grading period for
any child who is performing as expected or below expectations in any subject.

Students who receives special education services should recieve a fourth week Progress Report.
The core content teachers and special education teachers must agree upon grades and the that
appropriate modifications has been made and the Individualized Education Plan was effectivley
               implemented.

It is, of course, an excellent practice to let students and their parents know about their progress
whether it is poor, satisfactory, or excellent. The Progress Report date is a good time to do this.
Though not required for all students at all times, even weekly reports would be appreciated. Many
teachers devise some type of weekly report to include in the homewok folders. This might only
be for certain students or for the entire class.

It is important for students to be made aware of the system you will be using for grading and of
their academic standing in your class. The grading guidelines below are required:

Students are to be graded based solely on their academic performance and not classroom behavior,
               favoritism or personality. The following items should be considered when determining grades;

                   • Class work/Participation – 25% of overall grade
                   • Homework Assignments – 10% of overall grade
                   • Quizzes – 25% of overall grade
                   • Projects – 25% of overall grade
                   • Tests – 35% of overall grade

Teachers are required to include a fair variety of grade types during each grading period to
ensure that students have demonstrated complete mastery of the material, including project and
               assessment grades each grading cycle.
