                            Penerapan Metode Cooperative Learning
                               di Kelas 7A MTs Al-Huda Pekanbaru

                                               Abstract
               Cooperative  Learning  is  developed  to  reach  at  least  three  goals:  to
               improve academic learning results; to have the ability to receive individual
               differences; and to develop social skills. In cooperative learning, the focus
               of  learning  is  on  student  center.  However,  both  the  students  and  the
               teacher, have their own roles.The purpose of cooperative learning, besides
               to  build  a  positive  interaction,  is  also  to  create  individuals  that  have  a
               personality  and  a  big  responsibility.  Therefore,  the  application  of  the
               cooperative learning in the classroom needs to be implemented. Focus of
               the problem in this research is the application of cooperative learning in
               the  classroom.  This  research  aims  to  describe  and  expose  how  the
               application  of  cooperative  learning  in  the  classroom.  This  research  was
               conducted in class 7A MTs Al-Huda Pekanbaru. This study is a descriptive
               qualitative approach. The result of this research shows that teachers still
               have not mastered the nature of cooperative learning. Students also have
               not been familiar to the ideal implementationof cooperative learning. In
               addition,  the  application  of  cooperative  learning  in  MTs  Al-Huda
               Pekanbaru, particularly in class 7A, still does not run well yet in accordance
               with  the  guided  concept  of  cooperative  learning.  There  are  still  many
               things that need to be improved, so that the application of cooperative
               learning is in accordance with its purpose.

               Pendahuluan
                  A. Latar Belakang Masalah
                     Kemajuan  ilmu  pengetahuan  dan  teknologi  semestinya
               diimbangan  dengan  kemajuan  sumber  daya  manusia.  Manusia-
               manusia  yang  cakap  dan  terampil  akan  mampu  menghadapi  dan
               memanfaatkan perkembangan yang ada dengan bijak. Hal tersebut
               juga  berlaku  bagi  tenaga  pengajar  atau  guru.  Guru  sebagai
