relationship between the school administrators’ level of academic leadership competence and
their variables, the Pearson Moment of Correlation Coefficient was used.
The following are the findings of the study: 1) Majority of the respondents is female,
married, relatively old, great number of relevant training in the division level. Majority have
doctorate degree; 2) in terms of the level of academic leadership competence along supervisory
and administrative, they have an overall weighted mean described as “highly competent”, there
is no significant relationship between the levels of academic leadership competence of school
administrators and the aforementioned profile variables.
Based on the findings, the following are the conclusions of the study: 1) majority of
the school administrators are females and married, relatively old and educationally qualified,
has long experienced as school administrators and have attended trainings; 2) the school
administrators self-rating are higher than the rating of their teacher, there are still means to
improve their respective academic leadership competence, there is no significant relationship
between the level of academic leadership competence and their profile variables.
The following are the recommendations of the study based on the findings and
conclusions: 1)school administrators should take their own initiatives to undergo professional
upgrading through in-service-trainings in the higher level like national and international:2) SA
should aim and soar high for excellent competencies, be innovative and transformative; 3) SA
should maintain highly competent level of academic leadership at all times even though their
variables vary; 4) further, research may be conducted to determine the school administrators’
academic leadership competence from another perspective.
