STAKEHOLDERS INVOLVEMENT IN EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

This study determined the extent of involvement of stakeholders in Educational
development in Urdaneta City Division, Urdaneta City, Pangasinan. Specifically, it sought to
determine the profile of the stakeholders in terms of age, sex, civil status, family monthly income,
religious affiliation, highest educational attainment, occupation, membership in organization
and length of membership in organization. Further, it looked into the extent of involvement of
stakeholders in educational management along pupil development, staff development, curriculum
development, physical facilities development, financial management and community extension
services; the significant differences between the extent of involvement of the stakeholders in
community development across their profile variables; and the significant relationships between
the extent of involvement of the stakeholders and their profile variables.
Based on the analysis and interpretation of data, the following finding were brought
forth: (1) the age level of the respondents rangers from below 30 years old up to 60 years old
and above, who are outnumbered by females, married, earning a family income that ranges
from below 5,000 up to 25,000 and above, catholic, monthly college graduates and a few
doctoral degree holders. Majority of them are professionals and members of the teachers club
and alumni, (2) the respondents have relatively involved in educational development along the
identified areas of concern; pupil development, staff development, curriculum development,
physical facilities development, financial development and community extension services, (3
a difference in the respondents extent of partnership across their profile variables does not exist
except in the respondents family monthly income and membership in organization and (4)
there are no relationships that exist between the respondents extent of involvement in
educational development and their profile variables except in their family monthly income,
highest educational attainment, membership in an organization and length of membership in
an organization.
In the light of the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) involvement
of stakeholders in educational development are dominated by females professionals with
adequate educational qualifications and members in an organization, (2) the involvement among
respondents as stakeholders in educational development is good and remarkable enough as a
stepping stone toward becoming highly involved (3) the educational stakeholders are comparable
in their extent of involvement in educational development across their profile variables, (4)
the profile variables of the respondents except family monthly income, highest educational
attainment, membership in organization and length of service in organization do not affect
their involvement in educational development while the aforecited cause involvement among
stakeholders in educational development.
Based on the findings and conclusions derived from the study, the following
recommendations are deemed essential and suitable. (1) Both men and women in the sectoral
groups should be encouraged to be more highly involved in educational development regardless
