partnership; f) school management and operation; and g) personal and professional attributes
and interpersonal effectiveness. This study will determine the significant differences between
profile variables of principals and performance domains of leadership competence of principals
as rated by the respondents which composed of two groups, such as principal’s group and
key teacher’s group. This study will distinguish the significant relationships between selected
variables.
The following interpretations and analysis of results are utilized in order to come up
with conclusions. The study implied that the principals of Urdaneta City Division are dominated
by females who belong to the age group of 51 years old and above. The study also revealed
that principals of the said division are very competent as shown in the overall weighted mean
for all the performance domains of leadership competence. Some profile variables such as age,
length of service, educational attainment, number of teachers supervised and level of trainings
attended by principals are found to have significant difference in terms of the performance
domains for leadership competence. The study also found out that there is significant relationship
of the following profile variables namely age, length of service as principal, eligibility, number of
teachers supervised, training attendance and highest educational attainment to the performance
domains of leadership competence for principals.
The study concluded that the principals are very competent in manning their school
with regards to the seven domains such as a) school leadership; b) instructional leadership;
c) student-centered learning climate; d) human resource management and professional
development; e) parental involvement and community partnership; f) school management
and operation; and g) personal and professional attributes and interpersonal effectiveness. The
researcher strongly recommends further that study shall be conducted in relation to the skills
assessment for the principals or school heads based on the validated NCBSSH in order to prove
further the reliability and accuracy of the results. It was also recommended to use the Consensus
Qualitative Results (CQR) method of researching for further related studies.
INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATIONS TECHNOLOGY UTILIZATION
IN TEACHING SCIENCE

This study aimed to determine the extent of ICT utilization in teaching science of
secondary school teachers in Urdaneta City Division. This study basically utilized the descriptive
method of research. Problem number 1 dealt on the profile of the respondents as to age,
gender, civil status, highest educational attainment, position, net home pay, number of years
in teaching, number of relevant trainings/seminars attended for the past three years. Problem
Number 2 dealt with the availability of ICT resource materials used. Problem Number 3 dealt
with the extent of ICT utilization in teaching science and finally, problem number 4 dealt with
the problems encountered in utilizing ICT in teaching science.
