                       CHILD FRIENDLY SCHOOL PROGRAM PRACTICES AND
                                       PUPILS’ PERFORMANCE

                    This study determined the level of practices of the teacher respondents of the child
             friendly school program in Urdaneta City Division, SY 2013 – 2014.
                    Specifically, it sought to determine the profile of the public elementary school teachers
             in terms of age, highest educational attainment, and number of years of service, extension
             service done, religious affiliation and membership in an organization.
                    It also looked into the level of practices of the teacher respondents of the child friendly
             school program along high academic achievement of learners, children health and well being,
             teachers  morale  and  motivation,  safe  and  protective  place  for  children,  school  community
             partnership, enrolment and completion and emotional aspect; the significant difference between
             the level of practice of the teacher respondents of the child’s friendly school program across the
             profile variables, the problems encountered by the teacher respondents that affect their level of
             practice of the child friendly school program and the prosed enhancement program to improve
             the child friendly school program. The null hypothesis was tested at .05 level of significance
             between the levels of practice of teacher respondents of the child friendly school program.
                    The descriptive method of research was employed and the questionnaire checklist was
             used in gathering data. The frequency counts, percentages, average weighted mean and ANOVA
             (Analysis of Variance) were the statistical tools used in the analysis of data.
                    Based on the analysis of data, the following salient findings were yielded: 1) majority
             of the respondents belong to age bracket 36-50 considered as middle age, have earned their
             masteral  units,  young  in  the  service,  extended  their  services  as  seminar  workshop  lecturer,
             facilitator  and  demonstrator;  and  most  of  them  are  Catholics  and  members  of  professional
             organization. 2) the level of practice of the respondents of the child friendly school program had
             an overall weighted mean of 4.30 denoting a descriptive equivalent of “Highly Practiced” 3) the
             level of practice of the respondents of the child friendly school program when compared among
             themselves  across  the  profile  variables  manifest  no  significant  differences.  4)  the  problems
             encountered by the teacher respondents in the application of the child friendly school program
             had a computed weighted mean of 3.04.
                    In the light of findings, the following conclusions were drawn: 1) the public elementary
             school teachers of Urdaneta City are middle age, educationally qualified, young in the service,
             Catholics and members of professional organization 2) the public elementary school teachers
             of Urdaneta highly practiced the child friendly school program 3) the profile variables of the
             respondents are not comparable to their level of practice of the child friendly school program
             4) the problems encountered by the teachers in the application of their practices in the child
             friendly school program are moderately serious.
                    On  the  basis  of  the  findings  and  conclusions  yielded  in  this  study  the  following
             recommendations are hereby provided: 1) teachers who have not finished their master’s degree
