               EXTENT OF APPLICATION OF INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGIES IN HEKASI

                    This study determined the extent of application of Instructional strategies in HEKASI by
             the Grade V and VI HEKASI teachers of Urdaneta I District, SY 2013-2014.
                    Specifically, it sought to determine the profile of the HEKASI teachers in terms of age,
             sex, civil status, highest educational attainment, and the number of years teaching HEKASI.
             Likewise,  it  looked  into  the4  extent  of  application  of  the  instructional  strategies  in  teaching
             HEKASI by the respondent teachers, the significant difference between the use of instructional
             strategies in teaching HEKASI across the profile variables and the significant relationship between
             the use of the instructional strategies and the selected profile variables.
                    The descriptive-correlation methods of research were employed and the questionnaire
             checklist was used in gathering data. The frequency counts, percentages, weighted average
             mean ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) were the statistical tools used in the analysis of data.
                    Based on the analysis of data, the following findings were yielded (1) Majority of the
             respondents belong to age bracket 30-40 years old which is considered as early adult, females,
             married, have earned masteral units and have been teaching HEKASI for less than five years, (2)
             the extent of application of instructional strategies in HEKASI had an average weighted mean
             of 3.94 which denotes “Practiced”. (3) there is no significant difference between  the application
             of the instructional strategies in HEKASI along age, sex, highest educational attainment and the
             number of years teaching HEKASI, however significance is noted on the profile civil status and
             (4) there is significant relationship between the extent of application of instructional strategies
             and the civil status of the teacher respondents.
                    In light of the findings, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) the HEKASI teachers
             of Urdaneta District I are in their early adult, trained and are educationally qualified to deliver
             quality instructional through the use of the different instructional strategies I HEKASI (2) The
             HEKASI teachers of Urdaneta District I are aware of the application of the different instructional
             strategies that make teaching more meaningful and interesting (3) the extent of application of
             instructional strategies in HEKASI is comparable to civil status (4) the civil status of teachers
             affect the application of instructional strategies in the delivery of instruction in HEKASI.
                    On  the  basis  of  the  finding  and  conclusions  yielded  in  this  study,  the  following
             recommendations  are hereby  provided  (1)  all  concerned teachers must be  encouraged  to
             enhance  the professional  growth  by  pursuing  their  graduate  and  post  graduate  studies  in
             refutable institution (2) teachers should continue using the instructional strategies in HEKASI
             to make teaching and learning more interesting and meaningful and to further enhance pupils
             performance in HEKASI (3) the government should adapt sustainable programs by extending
             financial assistance to teachers for the provision of educational technology device to improve
             their craft in the application of instructional strategies, (4) the teachers development activities
             should  include  enhancement training  in  the application  of instructional  strategies to provide
             them better perspective of what is all about that could imbibe more acceptable attitudes toward
