               Further, based on the findings and conclusions of the study, the researcher arrived
       at the following recommendations:  1)  since majority of the teacher  respondents have just
       earned  their  masteral  units,  all  concerned  teachers  should  be  encouraged  to  enhance  their
       professional growth by pursuing their graduate and post graduate studies to enhance further
       their capabilities in utilizing the different innovative approaches in Mathematics 2) concerned
       teachers must upgrade their teaching performance in Mathematics using the different innovative
       approaches by attending relevant trainings in the regional and national levels 3) Mathematics
       teachers should sustain the very extensive utilization of the innovative approaches in teaching
       Mathematics to further enhance an excellent performance of pupils in Mathematics 4) other
       studies should be conducted to look into other aspects of extent of utilization of the innovative
       approaches in teaching mathematics in a wider perspective.


                 STATUS OF BULLYING IN PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS

               This  research determined the status  of bullying  in  public secondary  schools. The
       respondents’ personal profile in terms of age, sex, birth order, religious affiliation, grade/year
       level, socio economic background in terms of parents’ occupation and monthly family income.
       Also, this study inquired the effects of school bullying ,the types of bullying prevalent in school
       , the factors predispose and precipitate bullying in terms of social, emotional psychological and
       academic performance and the coping mechanisms the bullied student can adopt or employ. The
       primary data gathering instrument used in the study is the questionnaire checklist devised by
       the researcher and validated by experts in the field of psychology and guidance and counseling.
       Problem Number 1 determined the subjects’ personal information such as age, sex, birth order,
       number of children, and occupation of parents, monthly family income, religion, and grade/
       year level. Problem Number 2 determined the items to elicit the types of bullying committed,
       and factors predisposing it. Likewise, the questionnaire for the victims of bullying contains the
       personal information of the subjects similar to the bullies, factors predisposing the incidences of
       bullying, and their coping mechanisms.
               The following findings were obtained from the study: 1)  no definite and particular
       age bracket that commits bullying. Most of the bullies were eldest, and in fourth year, and a
       Roman Catholic. Majority of the respondents parents were plain house wife and their father
       were self employed and government employee. The respondents’ family income shows that
       students from above average family income seldom commit bullying; 2) majority of the victims
       were 16 years old, youngest, and in fourth year, and were Roman Catholic. Mother were plain
       housewife, father were self employed with 6,000-10,000 monthly family income; 3) The types of
       bullying prevalent in school were verbal bullying, “sometimes”, physical bullying, “seldom”, and
       respondents’ “always” do psychological bullying; 4) Factors that predispose bullying, rich/ poor
       family, sometimes,  lack parental guidance/ my parents do not care for me, “sometimes”, family
