care, it revealed that on the part of the midwives it was highly extensive while the mothers

Overall, on the quality of birthing services in the municipal health centers it revealed
that on the part of the midwives it was highly extensive while on the part of the mothers they

newborn care they perceived to be highly extensive.
Based on the findings of the study the following conclusions are offered.
Most of the midwife respondents belong to the adulthood stage of life with the sanctity of
marriage, did not pursue higher level of learning, earning a meager amount since they are in
their position for a long period.
The extent of the quality of birthing services in the prenatal, intranatal, postnatal and
newborn care differ in the perception of the midwife and the mothers. The midwives perceived
the birthing services of the municipal health center higher compared to the mothers. The
proposed program is prepared to be adapted to improve the delivery of birthing services in the
             Municipal Health Centers.
Based on the conclusions of the study, the following recommendations are offered.
The midwife respondents must pursue their masteral degrees to update their knowledge in their
field in spite of their age which can contribute for their future promotion. The Midwives must
continue to intensity their birthing services to the clients for them to regularly patronize the
birthing services. They must organize more information dissemination on the different services
             availability in the health center.
The proposed program can be forwarded to the different health centers for adaption
             and dissemination.
