HCS facilities and HCS delivery. The problems in the delivery of HCS in general are slightly
encountered. It can be seen that among the interrelated variables, age, and the hospital services
availed have significant relationship with the extent of satisfaction along health personnel thus
the hypothesis that there is no significant relationship between these variables is rejected. In
terms of the other inter-related variables where there are no significant correlations between
them. A program was proposed to improve the delivery of HCS in DH in La Union.
In the light of the findings and conclusions, the following recommendations are hereby
presented: The DH personnel should undergo trainings and seminars to improve their knowledge
and skills in their specific profession for them to perform their duties and responsibilities with
excellence as well as undergo customer service personality and spiritual trainings, seminar and
evaluation to become more emphatic and responsive to DH patient needs. The DH facilities
must be constantly maintained and must undergo necessary upgrading, purchasing of needed
equipment and construction of lacking facilities must be undertaken to enhance the HCS
efficiency of DH there should be hiring of additional staff; the classification of patients with
regards to capacity to pay must be looked upon well; patient feedback mechanism must be
maintained and complaints dealt with accordingly upholding patients’ dignity; physicians must
prescribe affordable, effective medications which are available in the hospital pharmacy. The
proposed programs on HCS delivery enhancement must be submitted to the Provincial Health
Office to continue working together with DH towards excellent HCS delivery, a follow up or
related study can be conducted in a wider coverage to support the findings of the research.
