MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES OF PROSPECTIVE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORS:
                    BASIS FOR ENHANCED LEADERSHIP PERFORMANCE
                                      JANE G. SABADO

This study was designed to determine the level of multiple intelligences of prospective
school administrators in the elementary level coming from the central schools of the different
divisions of Pangasinan SY 2014-2015. Specifically, this study sought to determine the following:
it dealt on the profile of the respondents namely: age, sex, civil status, highest educational
attainment, relevant trainings attended, attitudes towards being a school administrator and
hobbies; it also focused on the level of multiple intelligences of prospective school administrators
        in the following areas: musical-rhythmic, visual-spatial, verbal-linguistics, logical-mathematical,
bodily-kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalistic and existential; determined the
significant differences on the level of multiple intelligences of prospective school managers
across their profile variables; dealt on the significant relationship between the level of multiple
intelligences of prospective school managers and their profile variables; and it also dealt on
the rank of the multiple intelligences of the respondents that will contribute to the success of
        prospective school administrators.
The following are the findings: Majority of the respondents belong to the age bracket
of 36 to 40 years old, females, married, with Doctoral units and have attended trainings at
various levels, but majority have national level trainings. Majority are responsible with regards
to their attitudes towards being a school administrator. The profile variables of the prospective
school administrators is adequate enough to qualify them to be future school administrators.
The respondents are still wanting of enhancing or upgrading their level of multiple intelligences,
from average to a higher level, high or very high. The highest level of multiple intelligences is in
the aspect of bodily-kinesthetic. The most prominent source of variation in the level of multiple
intelligences among prospective school administrators are age, civil status, highest educational
attainment and hobbies. The multiple intelligences in the aspect of bodily-kinesthetic ranked
number 1 as contributing factor in the success of prospective school managers.
Based on the findings and conclusions drawn, the following recommendations are
forwarded: All concerned prospective school administrators must be encouraged to finish their
graduate degrees in masteral and doctoral. Multiple intelligences that of prospective school
administrators should be given in other venues to compare the results of this study. Multiple
intelligences should be considered an important factor in the promotion of position among
prospective school administrators. There should be careful selection of variables that predict
higher level of multiple intelligences of the respondents. The prospective school administrators
should aspire a higher level of multiple intelligences even though their variables vary. Further
research may be conducted on multiple intelligences from another prospectives.
