SCHOOL SERVICE DELIVERY SYSTEM OF CHILD SAFETY AND
PROTECTION POLICY

This study determined the extent of school service delivery system of child safety and
protection policy by the secondary school principals in the provincial divisions of Pangasinan,
Pangasinan I and II for School Year 2015-2016. Specifically, this study sought to determine the
profile of the Public Secondary School Principal (PSSP) in terms of age, sex, civil status, highest
educational attainment, length of experience as a principal, number of teachers supervised and
relevant trainings attended. Further it looked into the extent of implementation of school service
delivery system of child safety and protection policy of the school principals.
The findings indicate that majority of the school principals were 51-60 years old,
females, married, and finished their Master’s Degree. On the administrative experienced of the
principal 11 years and above obtained the highest frequency. The extent of implementation
of school service delivery system of child safety and protection policy in school health and
nutrition services is very extensive, child friendly school system is also very extensive, gender
and sensitivity is very extensive, campus security is described as very extensive, anti- bullying,
very extensive, child protection policy is very extensive and disaster management is describe as
very extensive. There is a significant relationship existed between the School Service Delivery
System of the Child Safety and Protection Policy and the Length of Service of the respondent-
principals.
In the light of the above mentioned findings of the study the researcher arrived at
the following conclusions: The Public Secondary School Principals (PSSP) of the Division of
Pangasinan I and II belong are very hardworking because they are able to do their functions
as a manager. Moreover, having a family and enjoying a married life is a source of a feeling of
self-fulfillment. It is considered as factor to a good performance. The extent of implementation
of school service delivery system of child safety and protection policy by the respondent-PSSP
is very extensive.
The PSSP should be encouraged to finish doctorate degrees in graduate schools in
the region. Give school principal greater opportunities to attend more seminars, particularly
Gender Awareness and Sensitivity trainings workshop so that they can be given more insights
and wisdom with respect to child safety and protection policy. Develop more opportunities for
community interactions in order to have a strong community relationship. Sustainability of the
program with regards to the child safety and protection policy in order to maintain a conducive
learning environment for the students.
