       upgrading and enhancement, a well-designed In-Service Training Program should be formulated
       and  implemented  in  the division  and  regional  level.  Instructional  management  practices  of
       teachers in the Mother Tongue should be considered as one criterion in the Performance Rating
       of Teachers.  Further  studies on  the improvement of instructional  management  practices  of
       teachers in the Mother Tongue should be conducted by future researchers on a wider scope.


         INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT PRACTICES OF TOURISM INSTRUCTORS
                                   CARLOS A. MARCELO

               This  study  determined  the level  of  instructional  management  practices of  tourism
       instructors in the different colleges and universities of Urdaneta City A.Y. 2014-2015.
               Specifically, it sought to determine the profile of the respondents in terms of ages,
       sex, civil status, highest educational attainment, number of years of teaching experience and
       relevant trainings attended. Likewise, it looked into the extent of competence on instructional
       management  practices  of  tourism    instructors  along  self-management,  communication,
       competence, the significant different between the extent of competence on the instructional
       management practices tourism instructors across the profile variables, the relationship between
       the  extent  of  competence  on  the  instructional  management  practices  of  tourism  instructors
       and their profile variables and the problems encountered by the tourism instructors on their
       instructional management practices. The descriptive methods of research was employed and the
       questionnaire checklist was used in gathering the data. To address the problems of this study,
       the statistical measures were used for data analysis and interpretations. There are the frequency
       counts (f) and percentage (%), the average weighted means (AWM) the analysis of variance
       (ANOVA) and the Pearson product moment of coefficient correlation (r) were used.
               The findings indicate that 1) majority of the respondents instructors belong to age
       bracket  21-30  that  is  29  or  54.7  percent,  female  that  is  33  or  62.3  percent,  single  or  69.8
       percent, baccalaureate degree holder 24 or 45.3 percent have 5 years and below experience in
       teaching 33 or 66 percent and attended trainings in the national level 29 or 54.7 percent 2) the
       tourism instructors are highly competent on the instructional management practices obtaining
       an overall weighted mean of 4.48. 3) there are no significant differences between the level of
       competence on the instructional management practices across the profile variables except in
       relevant training and the problems encountered by the tourism instructors in their instructional
       management practices obtained an overall weighted means of 2.79 an indicative of moderately
       serious.
                 In  the  light  of  the  findings,  the  following  conclusions  were  drawn  1)  the  tourism
       instructors of the different colleges and universities of Urdaneta City are relatively young, female
       dominated, single, baccalaureate degree holder and young in the service 2) the tourism instructors
       manifest a highly competent level of their instructional management practices. 3) The level of
       competence of the tourism instructors in their instructional management practices is comparable
