plundor and disgraceful acts, and lately tlioy oxorcisod highhandod-
noss and ventured to shod tho blood of rospacted individuals, and
to take thoir duos by force openly without any fear of God and
without tho least consideration or investigation in regard to tho
dues of tho subjoct, wo could not find a moans excopt to bog and
to take refuge with the justice of the High Government owing to tho
great oppression and in view of th? state of the oppressed peoplo.
Tho Just Government conferred a favour on all Kohomraadans in
general and the Shiah socts in the world in particular and sent tho
Hon1ole Colonel Knox the Political Resident to us, vJio established
order in tho town, removed oppression, established a just court
that is the Justice Court at Bahrain, removed Shaikh Isa bin Ali
Al Khalifah from tho Chiefship and installed his heir-apparent
and son Shaikh Hamad as ruler. Wo repeat our thanks for this "high
magnanimity and just orders and owing to the establishment of
lawful rules and tho putting an end to the evil actions of the Al
Khalifah family, and the enforcement of the laws against thoir
objocts,. since that day they hastened to make intrigues and
proceeded to make disturbances against these just arrangonentB
so that they may occupy the thoughts of the just Poll tied. Agent
of the High Government by it and disturb the mind of our dear
and just chief Shaikh Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifah, and spoil and
dolay tho execution of the just rules in the town among tha
people.
Oh Honourable Colonel I Wo bog to state that we understood
that after thoso mischief makors, whoso number is limited and
whoso names aro known, wore dismissed by the Government on
aocount of their mischievous actions and were prevented by tho
Bahrain Government from interfering in Government affairs, and
restrained from molesting tho,subjeots, thoy made agreement with
each other and hated thoso juot arrangements, and owing to thoir
ignorance and hate they ventured to make disturbance ixxx in the
town. Oh Honourable Sir, these mischief makers havo alroady written
a potition to Your Honour and their intention is only to disturb
