                 • The value of the Arts to Australia’s culture, community and ADFAS is relevant and makes a difference:
                     economy is defended and promoted.
                                                                                            • Connect with the Arts: Arts education made easy
                 • Intellectual stimulation is nurtured by the depth of knowledge

people together in a metropolitan environment
                 • Australia’s cultural heritage is preserved through the research and
recording of historic buildings. • Ethical society - not for profit.
                                                                                            • Value for money.
                 • The ethos of volunteering is encouraged and supported
                 • A welcoming, social, inclusive environment is created in which
members enjoy the diversity of the arts.
                 • Social cohesion is strengthened.

                 • Through the Young Arts philanthropic program, we provide
encouragement and support to young artists and conservators.
                 • In 2020 by necessity due to the
                     COVID-19 pandemic, the Lectures
                     Committee and individual Societies’
                     committees showed commendable
                     versatility by creating virtual lectures
at very short notice, along with
                     eNewsletters, ADFAS@Home,
                     eWorkshops, ADFAS Insights, EDMs,
                     etc. This resilience was greatly
                     appreciated by members who were
                     ‘stuck at home’.
                 • Similarly, the Sept. 2020 Council meeting and 2020 AGM were
successfully held via teleconferencing, thus permitting the
Association to fulfil its legal/constitutional imperatives. Ditto for
some individual Societies’ AGMs thus permitting them to fulfil their
legal/constitutional imperatives and maintain contact with their
                     members.
