Director of Administration / Clerk of the Board
                                                   Phone Screen Questions

                     General Questions
                     1. Why are you interested in the DOA opportunity with Vallejo Flood & Wastewater?
Why are you actively or passively looking for a new position?

Dad was superintendent of water control plant in Milbrae for 15 years. Recently
finished her Master's in Public Administration. The reason that I am actively looking for
employment - wants to move to the greater Bay Area for affordable living.

You did full-time employment until 2013.

RFL Wharton School - finished a Master's of Public Administration and knew that I
wanted to work in a public agency.

                     Position Specific Questions
                     2. Please describe your highest level administrative support role to an Executive,
                       Director, General Manager and/or Board.

I was the business administrator for the Wharton School for the Vice Dean who
traveled the world monthly. Had to keep him abreast of goings on and had to keep him
abreast of our financial situation, operational budget. I was the conduit for many high
                       level information pieces.

Oversee three people - oversee out accounting assistant staff who have front counter
                       and financial reporting responsibilities.

                     3. Please describe your supervisory experience and the most challenging human
                       resources issue you have addressed.

I have been working in a supervisory capacity since 2013, mostly with front office
administrative staff. Performance reviews, setting up a mentoring program. In my
previous role as the business administrator with Wharton - our central HR office was in
Philadelphia - therefore I was our go to person for HR - something we had an issue with
is we had several departments out in SF - but we didn't have a regular process to
onboard our new employees from taking an I9 in to setting up access to our IT
department. So I created an SOP to deal with our recruitment to onboarding.
