General Questions
1. Why are you interested in the DOA opportunity with Vallejo Flood &
Wastewater? Why are you actively or passively looking for a new position?
Interested because I came across the position - and it encompasses a lot of the
experience that I've had. I live in the City of Vallejo. It's very convenient for me to
commute. I was a contract administrator for a program in Oakland. I am looking for
something that is career based and not contract based. I worked with facility and
maintenance under the same City.
ACTS Community Development - it has various programs - owns a few properties.
My position was to hire a contract to apply for a grant, which we got with Alameda
County to get counseling services for the jail. I oversaw the contracts and
maintained our partner relationships with different agencies who were apart of
that. We had about 13 employees who were under us who I oversaw daily. Private
corporation. I worked on a program and property management. I was called in to
develop a program in the system so that we could track data. As far as counseling
services, dieting, welfare programs. I implemented a program through Sales Force,
where employees could go in and enter in information. It could be tracked. They
were able to see the trends of inmates and things like that. I represented the
program with Board of Supervisors, volunteer training, prepare our agendas, I also
served to the executive team in terms of calendaring, scheduling travel. I worked
with the property management side. Took renal payments and things like that.
Maintained highly confidential records.

I was the manager of those who worked with Alameda County at the jail. I

challenging human resources issue - I had one employee who had an issue with
calling out again. Because of my previous experience working with Kaiser - I knew
