When building trust and growing relationships there are actual things NOT to say… (by Troy
Hipolito).
To your audience, followers, prospects, connections, and so forth.
Avoid using too much technical jargon. It's okay if it is a single concept but when you through a
lot of fancy words to make you look smart.
Well... you just end up looking silly.
And this goes for print, emails, DMs, posts, videos, and for the most part, any communication
platform.
If what you're presenting is designed as a piece of bite-sized information and your audience are
not experts in your particular field.
Usually, they are at the 3rd-grade level. Which is normal if you think about it.
Typically, it is best to give enough information for them to grasp the concept.
And start growing the understanding of these ideas with more communication over time.
In these cases, you are trying to deliver a single concept per communication, in the clearest way
possible.
