                                                                 Web Pages

                             Browsing Option Description
Alarms Lists all of the alarm inputs that communicate with
                                                   this Master Alarm.
Event log Log of events and alarms for all inputs that this Master
                                                   Alarm is monitoring.
Network statistics Communication statistics used by Information
                                                   Systems personnel.
Hardware input states Lists the state (open or closed) of the inputs.

                                 Building Automation System (N2) Mapping

The MedPlus TotalAlert™ Alarm Network has the option of connecting to a
facility’s building automation system (BAS). N2 mapping is an address that
the alarm uses as an output to the BAS. An RS-485 connection physically
interfaces the alarm with the facility’s BAS. If this option is used, both the
alarm and the facility’s BAS receive alarms and alarm silences.

The Master Alarm’s source inputs are the same number as the building
automation’s inputs. For example; a “backup vacuum pump on” switch for
vacuum system 3 is physically wired to position 5 on the Master Alarm
Breakout P.C. Board, that means that the address on the N2 BAS is BYT5.

                                 NOTE:
BYT is an 8-bit type of data that is used by N2 building automation systems.

The status of the alarms used by the building automation system are as follows:

                                   • 0 = no alarm

                                   • 1 = alarm
                                   • 2 = alarm silenced

If the MedPlus TotalAlert™ Area Alarm is set up to communicate on the
Ethernet Network, the number of Area Alarm Modules on the network can be
sent to the N2 building automation system. The Area Alarm Module
information is sent as ADI5 data to the BAS.

If there are three oxygen Area Alarm Modules and three vacuum Area Alarm
Modules connected to the alarm network, the ADI5 data would equal six. If
there are no Area Alarm Modules connected to the alarm network, the ADI5
                                 data would equal zero.
