WAGD b specifications (0 kPa to 102 kPa)
a. The Area Alarm Module for nitrogen is set at the factory according to NFPA 99 standards. Due to the
variations between NFPA 99 and CAN/CSA-Z305.1-92, Canadian facilities need to set the nitrogen
between 160 psig (1103 kPa) and 180 psig (1241 kPa).
b. Waste Anesthetic Gas Disposal (WAGD)
c. NFPA 99 does not specify a minimum setpoint, however the limit is factory-set to 2.0 "Hg (6.8 kPa).
The Area Alarm Modules remotely monitor the actual line pressure or vacuum
by using gas-specific transducers. The pipeline pressure or vacuum
continuously displays on each Area Alarm Module unless there is an alarm
error. In that case, the error code displays.
When an alarm occurs, the green Normal LED goes out, and either the red
High LED or the red Low LED lights, the pressure or vacuum reading flashes
on the display, and the alarm sounds. If the Network Communications Board is
installed, the Area Alarm Module sends the alarm message and reading to the
Master Alarm.
When an error occurs in the Area Alarm system, the error code displays, and
the alarm sounds.
