               2.36 While Browsing the Master Alarm, Area Alarm Modules are not
                       Accessible


                              1. While you are browsing the Master Alarm, you cannot use the jump link to
                                 go to Area Alarm Modules.

                              2. Type in the word Area followed by its serial number in your Internet
                                 browser’s address window, such as Area26453. The Area Alarm cannot be
                                 browsed.
                                 Yes    No
                                  ↓      → If this solved the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page 2-7.
                                            Otherwise, go to step 3.


                              3. The Ethernet is connected properly.
                                 Yes    No
                                  ↓      → Ensure that the Ethernet is connected properly on the Area
                                            Alarm Network Communications Board (refer to procedure 4.25
                                            on page 4-68). If this solves the problem, go to “Final Actions”
                                            on page 2-7. Otherwise, go to step 4.

                              4. Check the LEDs on the Area Alarm Network Communications Board. See
                                 “Area Alarm Module” on page 4-26. The LEDs that indicate whether the
                                 alarms are communicating are flashing at a steady rate.
                                 Yes    No
                                  ↓      → Call your facility’s Information Systems personnel to fix the
                                            problem. If they fix the problem, go to “Final Actions” on page
                                            2-7. Otherwise, go to step 5.

                              5. If the problem still exists, call Hill-Rom Technical Support at
