                PUBLIC GOODS AND SERVICES




           Consistent with the strategies set under the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the DTI
           Roadmap 2022, DTI shall enhance its knowledge systems by constructing databases for all
           mission-critical information, housing the various bureaus and central offices under one roof,
           all  to   promote   more   efficient   delivery  of  service  to  the  public.   In  the  meantime,  the
           Department   shall   build  an   academy   for   itself   to   provide   learning   and  development
           opportunities for DTI employees at all levels, so that its delivery units may be fortified with
           specialists in the fields of trade and investments, SMEs, and consumer protection.












                          DTI - Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP)

                          The  project   seeks   to   provide,   upgrade,   and   maintain   DTI-ICT
                          infrastructure, including that in the Negosyo Centers. This also intends to
                          establish   an   inter-connected   system  of  various business  entity-related data
                          in the Philippines, enhance DTI’s client relationship/ partnership, and facilitate
                          ease in managing and accessing business information.





                          Knowledge Connect

                          The Knowledge Connect Project, one of the DTI’s Strategic Initiatives, aims to create
                          an     environment     where     data     and     information     will     be     systematically
                          organized  for  ease  of  use  and  access.  Initially  to  be  made  available  within  the
                          Department,  the  Project  will  provide  information  on  clients  assisted  across  the
                          various DTI programs and services through acentral repository. Data sets will be
                          established and made available per client, per region, per service and/or program.

                          The Project aims to further stimulate a culture of knowledge sharing within the
                          Department, to actively contribute to improved decision making and enhanced
                          service delivery to stakeholders. Data collection, processing, storage, and disposal,
                          among others, shall likewise be harmonized across the systems that are being main-
                          tained across the various programs and services.
