ON A CITIZEN-CENTERED, INNOVATIVE, CLEAN,
EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE AND INCLUSIVE DELIVERY OF
PUBLIC GOODS AND SERVICES
Consistent with the strategies set under the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) and the DTI
Roadmap 2022, DTI shall enhance its knowledge systems by constructing databases for all
mission-critical information, housing the various bureaus and central offices under one roof,
all to promote more efficient delivery of service to the public. In the meantime, the
Department shall build an academy for itself to provide learning and development
opportunities for DTI employees at all levels, so that its delivery units may be fortified with
specialists in the fields of trade and investments, SMEs, and consumer protection.
DTI - Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP)
The project seeks to provide, upgrade, and maintain DTI-ICT
infrastructure, including that in the Negosyo Centers. This also intends to
establish an inter-connected system of various business entity-related data
in the Philippines, enhance DTI’s client relationship/ partnership, and facilitate
ease in managing and accessing business information.
Knowledge Connect
The Knowledge Connect Project, one of the DTI’s Strategic Initiatives, aims to create
an environment where data and information will be systematically
organized for ease of use and access. Initially to be made available within the
Department, the Project will provide information on clients assisted across the
various DTI programs and services through acentral repository. Data sets will be
established and made available per client, per region, per service and/or program.
The Project aims to further stimulate a culture of knowledge sharing within the
Department, to actively contribute to improved decision making and enhanced
service delivery to stakeholders. Data collection, processing, storage, and disposal,
among others, shall likewise be harmonized across the systems that are being main-
tained across the various programs and services.
