RESOLUTION BY THE PUBLIC WORKS & CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS AND
STORM & WASTEWATER COMMITTEE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH

WIL-SURGE ELECTRIC, INC. FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE
EMERGENCY GENERATOR AT VILLAGE HALL

WHEREAS, the Village of Sturtevant received bids for replacing the
emergency generator at Village Hall that was previously authorized by Resolution
2018-11; and

WHEREAS, WIL-Surge Electric, Inc., is found to be the lowest responsible
responsive bidder.

WHEREAS, at this time the Village would like to proceed with said
replacement; and

NOW THEREFORE, the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine
County, Wisconsin does hereby resolve:

1. That the awarding of a contract to WIL-Surge Electric, Inc.,
Butler, Wisconsin, in the amount of $85,419 for the purchase of
a Cummins Powers Systems gas generator as a replacement
emergency generator at Village Hall.

2. That the funds for said work shall be taken from Fund 101, Fund
Balance.

3. That the total costs for the project shall not exceed $95,000.
4. That the Village Administrator is authorized to execute and/or

change orders provided that the total cost of the project does not
exceed $95,000.
5. That the Village President and the Village Clerk are authorized
to sign any agreements or other documents necessary to carry
out the intent of this resolution.

Adopted by the Village Board of the Village of Sturtevant, Racine County,
Wisconsin, this 5th day of June, 2018.
