To Jenni’s future partner,
First off, congratulations! You are one lucky person to call Jenni your baby. I love Jenni dearly, which is why I want to pass on the wisdom I received while in relationship with her. I wish I knew all of this sooner because she would have felt way more seen and valued by me. Thank God she has a chance to feel loved by you.
Protector:
Jenni is a fierce, wickedly smart, articulate, charming, and supremely talented woman. What makes Jenni special is that her Goddess-ness is rooted in incredible softness and vulnerability that longs to be seen and valued. She is the whole enchilada. It is important to know that Jenni doesn’t just open up to anyone. Jenni has been hurt deeply and in ways that make it necessary to have incredibly badass protectors. Those protectors deserve respect. To love Jenni, you must understand that her protectors are not meant to hurt you. Jenni doesn’t want to hurt you but what she needs to know is that she is safe with you. Sometimes, the protectors come out when something you say or do make her feel less safe and less seen. My biggest advice to you is to be aware of when the protectors visit, treat them with the utmost respect, and allow them to do their job without seeing the protectors as the problem. Don’t mistake her protectors as the enemy. Don’t fight them. Befriend them and give them space.
To respect her protectors is to respect Jenni.
Calling:
The next topic is her calling and job. What amazes me about Jenni is that in spite of all the pain she has suffered, she continues to center her life around questions like: What is life giving? How do we nurture interconnectedness? What does it mean to be in right relationship with others, God, ourselves, the earth, all Beings? How do we heal?
Jenni is spiritual and centers her life on Wholeness, collective liberation, and healthy relationship. You cannot know Jenni unless you understand how this connects to her Calling and therefore her day to day. Your job as her partner is to create a sanctuary
