The NYAA (National Youth Achievement Award) is actively involved in various initiatives and projects related
to sustainability and environmental conservation in support of the Singapore Green Plan 2030. Here are some
            key highlights:

            • MediaCorp’s Five-Part Series of Ground
                Sustainability Initiatives
            MediaCorp featured a five-part series of on-ground
            sustainability initiatives by government agencies,
educational institutions, and the community in May
2022. The Ministry of Education selected primary,
secondary, and institutions of higher learning. The
NYAA’s close partner, ITE College East, was chosen for
            the project.

Minister Chan Chun Sing at the MediaCorp Sustainabilitly
            • HSBC-NYAA SME Sustainability Projects Initiatives at ITE College East.
The NYAA, in collaboration with HSBC and Institute of
Technical Education (ITE), conducted a sustainability
project to support small and medium enterprises
(SMEs). The project aimed to promote sustainable
practices and raise environmental awareness among
            participating SMEs.

Climate change is a pressing issue that spans
generations, and today’s young people are acutely
aware of its dangers and the urgent need for a
sustainable future. In response to Singapore’s
renewed climate change ambitions, NYAA initiated HSBC-NYAA ITE SMEs Climate Change Workshop.
a project in collaboration with ITE students and
SMEs, supported by HSBC Singapore—the project
aimed to reduce carbon emissions and enhance
sustainability in 25 SME companies. The results were
            highly encouraging, demonstrating the undeniable
benefits of developing Singapore’s green economy,
both environmentally and in terms of business.
Additionally, the project created valuable training
and employment opportunities for Singapore’s youth,
bolstering the nation’s ability to fulfil its climate
            obligations under the Paris Agreement.
Shaping a Sustainable Future Dialogue 2022.

            • Youth Ecosperity Dialogue (YED)
The College of Integrative Studies at Singapore
Management University, supported by the Temasek
Foundation, organised the YED. This dialogue brought
together student leaders from various institutes of
higher learning to discuss sustainability challenges
and explore innovative solutions. NYAA Gold Award
holder, Ms Cassandra Yip, shared her experiences
and the role NYAA played in promoting sustainability.

                                                                        Youth Ecosperity Dialogue 2022.
