• Other Engagements
NYAA Executives and Representatives participated in various events, including seminars, conferences, and
dialogues, to contribute to the discussions and initiatives on sustainability, climate change, and environmental
conservation. These initiatives and engagements reflect the NYAA’s commitment to promoting sustainability,
environmental awareness, and youth involvement in shaping a sustainable future for Singapore.
• Ministry of Sustainability and the
Environment 50th Anniversary
NYAA participated in a tree-planting event to
commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Ministry
of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) in
Singapore. The NYAA Executive Director partnered
with the Chairman of the National Environment
Agency to plant a tree to commemorate the occasion.
• Partners for the Environment Forum Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment 50th
NYAA participated in the Partners for the Environment Anniversary.
Forum, which marked the start of Climate Action Week
in Singapore. The forum aimed to rally the nation for
collective climate action, and NYAA supported the
activities during the week.
• Surbana Jurong Building the Business of
Sustainability Dinner
NYAA was represented at the sustainability-focused
dinner event hosted by Surbana Jurong, a prominent
group in the building industry. The event involved Surbana Jurong Building the Business of Sustainability
sharing by experts in the field. Dinner.
• EcoFriend Award Ceremony
Prof Leo Tan, Chairman of the EcoFriend Awards and
NYAA's Executive Director, served on the EcoFriend
Selection Panel. The Award acknowledged individuals
in Singapore who made significant contributions to
the environment.
• National Writing Competition
NYAA organised a National Writing Competition with
the theme “Towards a Sustainable Singapore - How Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat with the National
Youth Can Make A Difference?” The competition Writing Competition Recipients.
received over 300 entries from various educational
institutions.
• MOU Signing between NYAA and SPH Media
Group
NYAA and the SPH Media Group signed a
Memorandum of Understanding to solidify their
partnership. Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating
Minister for Economic Policies, Mr Heng Swee
Keat, presented the prizes to the National Writing
Competition winners. MOU Signing between SPH Media Group CEO Teo Lay Lim
and NYAA ED James Soh.
