Barely goes a day without someone asking me something
about Bi-Polar Disorder / Manic Depression, so I might
start putting some Questions & Answers or snippets of
info about the condition on Facebook - thereby
answering loads a people at once...
Manic-Depression is technically nearer to a 'Mood
Disorder' (for those who like labelling things) because
you get the Mania as well as the depression - Sometimes
you get 'Mixed Sate' which are fatally exciting but we'll
leave that for the next session! Statistically, 1 in 4 people
experiences mental illness. Think of your 3 best friends.
If none of them is mental - ITS YOU! (Also if none of
them are mental, it’s probably less fun!)

Manic-Depression Info cont.. I once had an 'Occupational
Health Interview' at work because I had disclosed that I
had Manic-Depression & this is GENUINELY how part
of the conversation went: NURSE "Have you ever
self-harmed?" ME "Yes" NURSE "Oh I'm sorry to
re-open old wounds”? She then wondered why I burst
into fits of laughter! There might be no stupid questions
but there are some F***ing stupid responses!

I’m hoping to turn over a new leaf but worried what I
might find under there… Well I turned the new leaf over
but I didn't like the other side so I've turned it back and
tried to sort of smoosh it down a bit so no one notices
