END-TO-END SPLICE
Use this splice to join two ends of hollow-braid rope or to form an endless
loop.
TOOLS & MATERIALS
Hollow-braid rope
Splicing tool (see chapter introduction)
Scissors or sharp knife
Lay out the two ends of rope or, if you are making an endless loop, adjust to
the correct size. For rope of ¼ to ½inch (6 to 12 mm) in diameter, allow about 10
inches (250 mm) for each tail.
Taper both ends by cutting the tips off at a 45-degree angle.
