personally communicate God’s Word and
God’s message of salvation out in this
hostile, Christ-rejecting world is unheard of
in most prayer meetings. Christians today
are not even looking for opportunities in
everyday life situations to talk to people
about the Lord; instead, they’re being
taught to invite the unsaved to church
(which is supposed to be an assembly of
born-again believers exclusively) so that the
pastor can explain to them the way of
salvation. But God is the one who chooses
the human vessel that He’s going to work
through to draw a person to salvation in
Christ, and that human vessel may be just an
“ordinary” Christian and not necessarily a
pastor, a guest evangelist, or a guest
revivalist.
