THE COST OF SALVATION

Although God has offered salvation as a free

gift to those who repent and believe the

Gospel, a price was paid for that salvation,

and that price was the precious blood of

God’s Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. First Peter

1:18-20 tells believers that we “were not

redeemed with corruptible things, as silver

and gold . . . But with the precious blood of

Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and

without spot: Who verily was foreordained

before the foundation of the world, but was

manifest in these last times for you.”

God’s plan of salvation was predetermined

and foreordained even before the creation

of the world because God knew that Adam
