Pre’s Southern Fried Okra


                   Light, crunchy and savory nuggets. These golden coated, green babies are addictive.
                 Don’t pop too many in your mouth while you’re cooking them, because chances are you
                                        won’t have any left for your family to enjoy.



                 Ingredients:

                     •  1-1/2 cups sliced fresh or frozen okra, thawed
                     •  3 tablespoons buttermilk
                     •  2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
                     •  2 tablespoons cornmeal
                     •  1/4 teaspoon Premadonna Seasoning Salt

                 Preparation:

                     1.  Make sure okras are dry you can lightly pat with paper towels. Place
                        buttermilk in a bowl.
                     2.  In another bowl, combine the flour, cornmeal, Premadonna
                        Seasoning salt.
                     3.  Dip okra in buttermilk, then roll in cornmeal mixture.
                     4.  In an electric skillet or deep-fat fryer, heat 1 in. of oil to 375 F.
                     5.  Fry okra, a few pieces at a time, for 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 minutes on each
                        side or until golden brown.
                     6.  Drain on paper towels.
