INSTALLATION & STARTUP
Chapter 22 Initial Startup Procedure
Water Pumps
Determine Pump Velocity for High Pressure Passes
1) With the main pump OFF; confirm that the pressure gauge reads zero, if it does not, replace or repair the gauge.
2) From the HMI main screen navigate the following commands: USER/FORCE/MORE/MORE.
Note: The screen should now read “Water Only Force 1”
3) Highlight – HP Select, LP Deselect, Pump Speed 80, Pump Station then Disabled, press Driver Side Off.
4) At this stage you need to enter a pump velocity of 80%, and then hit enter key on the HMI navigation pad. The pump
should turn on.
5) There are a couple items you need to check to verify the system going to perform properly.
6) Water is spraying from ALL the nozzles on the passenger side
7) Check pressure gauge on pump station; should read approximately 900PSI
8) Increase velocity in increments of 2% until the gauge reads 1100PSI. This is the desired system pressure.
9) Reset Force, and document pump velocity ________________ = 1100PSI, +/- 50PSI.
Note: The pump velocity information will be referred to later, to adjust the programming for the
system packages.
Determine Pump Velocity for Rocker/Undercarriage passes
1) Clear all ovals and Disabled Force. Turn on Rocker, set pump speed to 60, Pump Station ON and then Enable FORCE.
2) Set a pump velocity of 60% if you have Undercarriage with Rocker Spin Clean, or set a pump velocity of 80% if you have
Undercarriage with Rocker Blaster.
3) Increase velocity in increments of 2% until gauge reads 1100PSI.
4) Reset Force, and document pump velocity ________________ = 1100PSI, +/- 50PSI.
Note: The pump velocity information will be referred to later. Put the pump velocity in all
package programs for High Pressure & Rocker passes. This will insure your system
working pressure is within Belanger Inc. specs.
