Installation
Titan Pump Station Electrical Connections
Control wiring
The pump station requires 3 control wires, #14 AWG, run from motor starter panel to the Titan VPS™
control box. Two hot and one neutral wires signal that water flow is present. Refer to electrical
schematics for proper wire terminations.
CAUTION
Refer to applicable electrical codes for proper size of conductors.
Motor starter and disconnect are optional. If purchased separate, select the proper equipment to start 3HP
and 10HP motor at the given site voltage, disconnecting and fusing means to protect motors and
equipment.
Function Overview
The sequence of operation ensures proper water flow is present before the 10HP booster pump activates.
CAUTION
Do not bypass flow switch, serious damage to the 10HP booster pump my occur if there is no
water in the system.
1) Car wash controller activates Titans. 120VAC signal from controller starts 3HP motor starter.
2) Flow switch energizes relay coil. Relay (120VAC, ice cube relay) located on the pump station is
pre-wired at the factory. The flow switch rated at 20VA, 50 to 240VAC, relay coil must be within
specifications.
3) Normally open contacts from the relay and auxiliary motor starter contacts from 3HP priming pump
energizes 10HP motor starter.
