Filter and Stabilizer Housing Stabilizer
1) The 5 micron filter is in line to capture particulate matter 5 microns or greater.
2) Results of a clogged filter are that the pump may starve for water, the system pressure will drop
and the membrane will foul prematurely.
3) Filter should be exchanged monthly. To exchange he filter:
a. Unscrew the white housing on the unit
b. Remove the old filter
c. Insert a new filter
d. Re-tighten the white housing on the unit
Water Stabilizer
1) The water stabilizer is designed to prevent scaling of the reverse osmosis membrane. The water
stabilizer is very effective when it is cleaned often.
2) Cleaning the stabilizer
a. Turn unit off.
b. Locate the stabilizer on unit.
c. Disconnect PVC union (be careful not to lose the “O” ring).
d. Remove stabilizer and drop it into a small jar of Muriatic Acid (swimming pool acid). After two minutes, remove the
water stabilizer and rinse off with fresh water.
e. Replace water stabilizer into PVC housing with “Hole Up” and re-tighten union.
f. Turn unit back on and check for leaks.
