How to Disassemble the Top Wheel for Repairs
Taking the top wheel apart requires the use of a fork lift and two people. Once the top wheel is
disassembled, you should be able to use the following steps in the reverse order to reassemble the
top wheel onto the machine. The main reason to disassemble the top wheel all of the way is to change
a counterweight bearing(s) in the event of a bearing failure. There is typically not another reason to
completely disassemble the entire top wheel.
Note: When reassembling the top wheel, use red Loctite 271 on all of the nuts, including the bearing
retainer nuts.
Note: Tighten the bearing retainer nuts to the torque of a 1/2-13 bolt as shown in the chart on page
3-1 of this manual.
Note: Use anti-seize on the top wheel shaft where the motor attaches.

1) Drive the machine to the entrance side of the wash bay until it hits the stop posts. See the
image below.

Shut all power off to the machine.
