Where it all began...
for Josh Henderson
My keen interest in exhibiting
dogs began at an early age,
specifically in Dobermanns -
as most of you will know, my
father Billy Henderson has
run a successful Dobermann
Kennel under the Tuwos affix
since the late 70’s. I began
attending shows with Dad from
the age of around 7 and one
of my earliest memories of
showing myself was handling a
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
in the junior handling class at
a breed club show. He was
owned by my Granda and
Granny, who exhibited dogs under the Sukera affix.
My first time showing in the breed classes was at an open show in
Northern Ireland; I was 12 years old, handling a Dobermann bitch
Black Fuss Pot Belle known as Van, she was sired by our own
dog Tuwos Dark ‘N’ Delinquent. That fateful day I not only won
BOB, but also beat Dad(!) & was truly bitten by the dog show bug.
