Can they throng any more
Around their chacha fondling fair.
Though Nehru is no more
Eternal peace shall be there.
His memory for centuries o’er
Everlasting love shall bear.

Oh!Jawahar shouldst even thou be a prey
To Death’s tyranny and caprice;
Despite thy tireless service and large sacrifice
Even growing age could make thee no less gay.
Was not thy whole life but an esaay
Fulfilling “thy tryst with destiny”,
Of sincere service to thy country
Planning her peace,plenty and glory.And may
As humble tribute to thy mission of peace
This land that throbbed with thy every beat
Cherish for ever thy memory sweet
As perfumed flowers waft in gentle breeze;
In homage,Nature’s tears of morning dew
Rolls down her cheeks of rose of delicate hues.
