Banana, Strawberry, and

                                                                           Vegan
                        Walnut Smoothie                                    Gluten-Free



             Walnuts are a delicious inclusion in this tasty banana and straw-
             berry smoothie. They are a good source of heart-healthy vitamin E,
             provide many antioxidant benefits, and also ofer healthy omega-3
             fatty acids.
             Ingredient Tip: Are strawberries not in season? No problem. Opt
             for frozen sliced strawberries instead and increase the amount of
             fresh orange juice to reach the right thickness. You can also leave
             the banana unfrozen.
             1 banana, peeled and frozen   ¼ cup freshly squeezed orange
             1½ cups fresh strawberries,       juice (about 1 orange)
                 halved                    2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
             Combine the banana, strawberries, orange juice, and walnuts in
             a blender. Cover and blend to the desired smoothness. Serve
             immediately.
             Serves 2. Prep time: 5 minutes.
