Tropical Smoothie

                       Get your day started with a taste from the tropics. Naturally sweet
                       pineapple is blended with tangy ginger and a hint of orange in this
                       yummy smoothie. For an especially kid-friendly version, add some
                       fresh berries.

                       Ingredient Tip: Looking for an easy way to prepare ginger? Use
                       the sides of a spoon to peel the skin. Then, use the small holes on a
                       box grater to grate it. Ginger also freezes well in an ice cube tray.

                       1½ cups frozen                ½ cup freshly squeezed orange
                          pineapple chunks              juice (about 2 oranges)
                       1½ tablespoon peeled, grated   ¼ cup milk
                          fresh ginger

                       Combine the pineapple, ginger, orange juice, and milk in a blender.
                       Cover and blend to the desired smoothness. Serve immediately.

                       Serves 2. Prep time: 5 minutes.
