Employee Handbook

               Tardiness

Employees are expected to adhere to their respective schedules. National Paints provides a grace period of fifteen (15)
minutes before an employee will be considered late for duty.

An employee is deemed tardy, when one of the following occurrences is observed:

 Fails to report for work at the assigned/scheduled work time. In those instances, managers may replace
the tardy employee for the full shift.
 Leaves work prior to the end of assigned/scheduled work time without prior supervisory approval.
 Takes an extended meal or break period without approval
 Arrives to work past his/her scheduled start time may be replaced for the full shift at the discretion of
                          his/her supervisor.

               Short Leave

Employees are required to adhere with work schedules; however exceptions can be made, once an employee seeks
permission to be out of the office during official work timings in order to carry out personal task or social obligations,
as per the sanction of the management.

Official Leave types and the rules governing the leave types are covered within the leave/vacation policy.

               Absence
An employee is deemed absent when he/she is unavailable for work as assigned/scheduled and such time off was not
scheduled/approved in advance as required by department notification procedure.

Employees reporting to work after three (3) hours from the official work timings are considered as absence.
