Chapter 8 DIETS
Food Taste Test
Hmmm ! Which will it be ? Well the doughnuts taste better so . . . . WHOA ! Stop right there.
No way doughnuts taste better than fruit. TO A NORMAL “Skinny” person, that added sugar in doughnuts,
cakes, pies etc., has a bitter taste to it that Natural sugar doesn’t have. Sweeteners are worse.
We’re discussing the TASTE not the Nutritional Value because even obese people know fruit wins nutritionally.
An Obesity Action Coalition study showed: when 200 teenagers, half obese, the other half normal weight,
were asked to rate how sweet a taste was by putting a number to its intensity, the obese teens rated the
items as less sweet compared to normal weight teens who considered them to be more sweet.
As an obese person, soon all foods tasted the same to me: TASTELESS. I only tasted the sweet or super sweet,
nothing else After years of eating 3-Meals-A-Day (cereals, toast, jam, sandwiches, cheeseburgers, hot dogs,
fries, soft drinks, fruit juice, milk shakes), PLUS all kinds of snacks in-between, Processed Foods laced with
Processed Sugar had dulled my taste senses so I no l longer enjoyed the taste of Nature’s Natural Foods.
Today, I enjoy my food immensely. Vegetables taste like vegetables. Fruit tastes like fruit. Meat tastes like
meat. They all taste wonderfully DIFFERENT. I enjoy them all EQUALLY. NO FAVORITES – THEY’RE ALL GREAT.
Overweight/obese people’s taste buds have been dulled by excess processed sugar (same as acid does) so
they no longer taste the freshness and delightful differences in Natural Foods. They’re missing one of Nature’s
most wonderful gifts. You couldn’t get me to eat a doughnut or coffee with sugar in it – They Taste Awful.
I LOOK FORWARD TO DINNER. MY MEALS ALL TASTE FABULOUS. And YES – I still have cheeseburgers and
sandwiches from time to time – just not every day. YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU’RE MISSING.
